Robots That Vacuum And Mop: What's New? No One Is Talking About
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet messes (spills and staining) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also reduce space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot will provide excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that have docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its relatively low cost and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops spin at fast speeds and exert 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, allowing for quick removal of pet hair, dirt, and dried sticky spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments and a user-friendly application that lets you choose the exact kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.
You could, for instance ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only issue it has is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, just a glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and what obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop are able to run for a long time and the mop is capable of operating for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that allows it to remove smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to helps to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, and determine if they are walls or other surfaces. It then can automatically alter its path and clean the objects without a pause.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.
The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's not easy to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, and could cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can manage and set up these via the Roborock app that is also home to its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you schedule cleanings and track battery life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models on the market. However, it has several characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the traditional method, and it has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles and remove spills and soiled spots.
The mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature as it keeps mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuum and mop models and it could be a useful method of keeping your home cleaner for longer.
There's a plethora of options available, including the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and alter a variety of preferences. These settings can be adjusted via the app or there are buttons on the unit itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of features that aren't offered on other robots, such as the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects any dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white design that looks elegant and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this listing, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built.
